Plant-based nutrition throughout life

The first edition of the PAN International Med & Nutrition conference will be hosted by PAN Netherlands on Oct. 12, 2024. National and international experts will address various aspects of plant-based nutrition throughout life. 

Topics range from nutrition in childhood to older age and prevention of disease to supporting clinical illness. Our conference program touches upon science-based topics regarding the benefits of, and questions about, plant-based nutrition. The program is in English. 

International experts such as Shireen Kassam, Gemma Newman and Brenda Davis will talk about the effects of nutrition on our health through different stages of life. Other inspiring speakers include, but are not limited to, endocrinologist Maarten Soeters who will discuss the challenges of the protein transition for the clinical patient and general practitioner Karel Bos who will show you how to motivate patients to change their lifestyles. And that’s not all!

For who

This conference is for scientists, professionals and students working in health care. But the program is interesting and accessible to anyone who:

• is interested in the role of lifestyle in healthcare (e.g. policy or political).
• is a lived experience expert in the field of health and lifestyle (especially nutrition).
• is involved with nutrition in hospitals.
• has a health condition and existing knowledge on lifestyle and health.

Location

We would like to welcome you to Antropia, located at Landgoed De Reehorst in Driebergen. This sustainable conference center is located next to Driebergen-Zeist train station, on the A12 and P&R Q-park. The conference center is 10 minutes away from the beautiful city of Utrecht by train.

Food

A plant based lunch will be served by Antropia’s culinary kitchen, prepared with local ingredients. Lunch and coffee, tea and water is included.

For physicians and dieticians from the Nederlands we are in the process of applying for accreditation points.
